Welcome to Canyon Springs, Home of the Cougars!

Canyon Springs High School was established in 1986, making it the second-high school opened in the Moreno Valley Unified School District. The campus welcomed students and their families in 1987. Today, it is one of four comprehansive high schools in the district. Modernization of our campus has recently taken place, including a new two-story classroom building, a multi-purpose room/cafeteria, upgrades to the gym and the library, along with a newly added stadium and Cyber Innovation Center.

Canyon Springs is an International Baccalaureate World School and offers many International Baccalaureate  courses. In addition, we offer AVID, Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Canyon aslo offers Air Force JROTC, Middle College, and a host of Pathway Programs. Canyon Springs' CyberSecurity Academic Pathway has recently been recognized in the state of California with the State Pivot Award and a National Presidential Award. We are proud of the dedication and hard work our CyberSecurity students and teachers have put in to make it an outstanding program. Lastly, Canyon Springs is delighted to offer two other programs which include Business Academy (a Lighthouse Academy) and Health Academy, both distinguished by the California Department of Education.

Canyon Springs also has a robust performing arts department, including Band, Choir, and Theatre. We continually strive to meet the needs of the whole student through academics, the arts, a wide array of clubs and a whole host of sports during fall, winter, and spring.  We also reach students through the implementation of the BARR program, Freedom Writers, and our site based MTSS program.
