College Admissions Testing

All four year colleges and universities require students to take either the SAT or ACT as part of the admissions process. All testing must be completed by the end of December of the student's senior year. Students taking tests in December must indicate the date on their college applications and make sure they send their scores to the colleges they have applied to.  However, some colleges will not accept December test scores so students are encouraged to check with their colleges for appropriate deadlines.

Things You'll Need When Filling Out the Application

It's a good idea to have everything prepared before you start your application so you're not trying to track down information at the last minute. Here's what you'll need:

  • Transcripts.
  • Test scores: SAT, ACT, SAT Subject, AP & IB.
  • Annual income for the 2017 tax year (your parents' if you're a dependent; yours if you're independent.) This is optional unless you're applying for a fee waiver or for the Educational Opportunity Program.
  • Social Security, DACA, Alien Registration number, if applicable.
  • Statewide Student ID (optional).
